At One Hope Schools, we believe every child is born with unique gifts, endless potential, and an innate desire to learn.
From a baby's first discoveries to an elementary student's growing independence, children learn best when they feel safe, loved, known, and valued. We believe education begins with relationships. When children experience trust, connection, and belonging, they develop the confidence to explore, take risks, ask questions, and grow.

We believe learning is not something that happens to children—it is something that happens through them. Children are naturally curious, creative, and capable. Our role is to nurture that curiosity, guide that growth, and create meaningful opportunities for discovery.

We believe every child deserves an educational experience that honors who they are. Rather than expecting all children to learn the same things in the same ways at the same time, we strive to meet each learner where they are and support their individual path of development.

We believe education should nurture the whole child. Intellectual growth matters, but so do creativity, communication, resilience, empathy, self-awareness, confidence, collaboration, and a sense of purpose. These qualities are not extras—they are essential parts of becoming a thriving human being.

Our History
One Hope Schools was born from a simple belief: children thrive when they are truly known.
​When Michael and Meagan Peters found a preschool where their children were flourishing, they experienced firsthand the difference that caring educators, meaningful relationships, and a nurturing environment can make in a child's life. They loved the school, the staff, and the community that had become such an important part of their family's journey.

When the preschool unexpectedly closed, they were heartbroken—not only for their own children, but for the families and educators who had found something special there. Rather than letting that community disappear, Michael and Meagan chose to preserve it.

They opened One Hope Preschool, inviting the teachers and families they had grown to love to continue the journey together. What began as an effort to protect something valuable quickly grew into something much larger. Families connected with the vision, children flourished, and a strong community began to take shape.

As their children grew, so did their vision. When their oldest child approached kindergarten, Michael and Meagan once again began searching for the right educational fit. They toured schools throughout the area, hoping to find a place that reflected the same values that had made their preschool experience so meaningful. What they discovered was that they wanted something different.
​
They wanted a school that recognized every child as an individual. A school that valued curiosity, creativity, character, and real-world learning alongside academic growth. A school where students could move at their own pace, pursue their interests, develop meaningful life skills, and be known as more than a test score. Unable to find the school they envisioned, they decided to build it. That vision became One Hope Academy.

Today, One Hope Schools serves children from infancy through elementary school, united by a shared commitment to individualized learning, strong relationships, and whole-child development. But this is only the beginning.
​
Michael and Meagan plan to continue expanding One Hope, creating a pathway through middle school and high school that remains true to the values that inspired the journey from the start. Their hope has always been bigger than opening schools. It is about creating opportunities for children to flourish, supporting families, strengthening the community, and helping shape a future where education is more personal, more meaningful, and more human.
